Version 6.4b of GoFiler has been released. This release corresponds to EDGAR 26.0.1. Corrections and improvements have been made to Page View and XDX/XBRL, including support for the 2026 SEC, US GAAP, and SRT taxonomies. Additional corrections were made to the Form N-CEN proof and to Section 16.
Please use the Check for Updates function to update your software to the latest version.
What’s in the Release
GoFiler+ Application
– Corrected an issue where the HTML import was setup to store images in a graphics folder.
General Items
– Corrected an issue with processing missing quotes during the CSV import process, specifically as the last quoted field with a CSV file. Previously this would result in some internal errors and the application would hang.
Page View and HTML
– Improved the processing and error reporting for the merge values for many CSS properties.
– Added a reporting dialog that will appear when opening various CSS properties dialogs to help in reporting errors that were previously not reported, such as errors that occur in CSS shorthand values.
– Added the colon character as allowed for HTML ID.
– Made a number of improvements to the Import HTML feature.
XDX
– The logic for nested non-numeric inline facts has been improved.
– Corrected an issue that could cause duplicate text block facts to not be detected when using OEF-RR.
SEC Taxonomy Changes and Updates
– Added support for the 2026 SEC taxonomies.
– Added support for the 2026 US-GAAP, US-GAAP-EBP, and SRT taxonomies.
General EDGAR Updates
– Added logic to acknowledge Login.gov’s reminder to add a second 2FA method to your account while running functions like “Download User Credentials” or “Verify Login”.
– Resolved an issue where the “Download User Token” function in the application preferences would not ask to generate a new user token if the current token was expired.
N-CEN Updates
– Corrected the styling for the “Identifying Number(s)” heading in many sections of the proof.
– Corrected proof styling to prevent overlapping table cells for C.6.c, C.11, C.13, C.14 and F.2.
– Corrected the proof missing data for the “RSSD ID” and “Other Identifying Number” on C.14.ii.
Section 16 Updates
– The warnings for test and live submissions should now display the count of owners as well as the Issuer CIK.
– Corrected an issue in the Section 16 legacy editor that caused an API error when checking delegations.
Data View
– Added logic to allow edit cell (F2) to edit a selected cell, if only that cell is selected.
– Added logic to clean up after merging two or more cells.
– Added a message to handle row merge (which is currently not supported).
– Adjusted the Home and End key behavior to reset the selected area if the caret position does not change and the Shift key is not pressed.
– Added Escape key functionality to reset the selected area (if selected).
– Added CtrlAlt+C and CtrlAlt+R to select column and row respectively.
– Added error reporting for missing quotes during import/open, specifically as the last quoted field with a CSV file.
– Corrected an issue where the File | Import File function would create a blank sheet on import.
Technical Notes (Legato)
– Improved the download process for the SDK help.
– Added new API functions for HTML Element Object.
