FERC Announces Recent eForms Refresh Update
On December 2nd, the FERC released the Vendor File Library, which has been modernized and now contains zip files with the source code for the draft Version 2023-01-01 validation rulesets.

FERC Publishes Updates to eForms Refresh
On November 21, 2022, the eForms system was revised to include the draft FERC Version 2023 taxonomies, validation rules, and rendering files effective for the filing of first quarter 2023 forms and all future filings. The Taxonomy Package is now available for download from the eForms portal under Taxonomy History. Additionally, the eForms system is currently accepting test submissions.

XBRL US to Host Webinar: Tools and Techniques for the XBRL Data Pipeline
XBRL US will host a webinar to discuss the latest features of the XBRL Filed Data add-in, the XBRL API, and other resources that users may employ to explore the expansion of standardized financial data reported in XBRL structured data language. FERC Announces Updates to eForms Refresh
On June 15th, the FERC announced that the taxonomies for FERC Form Nos. 1, 1-F, 3-Q (electric), 2, 2-A, 3-Q (natural gas), 6, 6-Q, 60, and 714 have been adjusted to allow the system to accept refilings from as far back as 2000.

FERC Proposes Rulemaking for Filing and Reporting Requirements for Interstate Natural Gas Company Rate Schedules and Tariffs
On May 19th, the FERC issued a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NOPR) seeking feedback on potential modifications to the way Natural Gas Act (NGA) section 4 rate case filings are submitted by interstate natural gas pipelines. NGA section 4 rate case filings are submitted by a pipeline when it seeks the FERC's approval to change its rates. The FERC expects the rulemaking would make such filings more accessible, comprehensive, and consistent.

FERC Releases Notice of Information Collections, Requests Extension, Solicits Comment
On April 8th, the FERC announced that it is requesting public feedback on the currently approved information collections, FERC Form Nos. 6 and 6T (Annual Report of Oil Pipeline Companies) and 6–Q and 6–QT (Quarterly Report of Oil Pipeline Companies).

XBRL US to Hold Virtual Seminar Focused on the New FERC Taxonomy
XBRL US will host a webinar entitled “Understanding the New FERC Taxonomy - Time to Focus!”, at which the recently completed Taxonomy from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) will be discussed. The FERC Taxonomy has been modified in answer to comments submitted by FERC filers and software providers. FERC Updates eForms Refresh
On February 2nd, the FERC announced that drafts of the Release 2.0 Taxonomies may now be accessed in the Vendor File Library under Quick Links on the FERC’s eForms Refresh webpage. The final Release 2.0 taxonomies will be available to test and submit official filings in the eCollection portal beginning February 17, 2022. Release 2.0 taxonomies, validation rules, and rendering files must be used when filing 2021 FERC Form Nos. 1, 1-F, 2, 2-A, 6, 60, and 714.

FERC Issues Notice of Information Collection on Form 6, Requests Extension and Solicits Comment
On November 24th, the FERC published a Notice of Information Collection in the Federal Register. Consistent with the requirements of the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (PRA), the FERC is requesting public feedback pertaining to currently approved information collections, FERC Form Nos. 6 and 6T (Annual Report of Oil Pipeline Companies) and 6-Q and 6-QT (Quarterly Report of Oil Pipeline Companies). Pursuant to the Interstate Commerce Act (ICA), the FERC is authorized and empowered to make investigations and to collect and record data to the extent FERC deems necessary or useful in order to carry out the provisions of the ICA.
