On March 16th, the SEC announced that it is adopting amendments to Volumes I and II of the EDGAR system Filer Manual and related rules and forms. EDGAR Release 26.1 is effective in the EDGAR system as of March 16, 2026.
The final rule comprises the following updates, amendments, and additional matters addressed:
- Filing Fee Information
- Schedule 13D and 13G
- Inline XBRL Guidance
- Notarization of Oath or Affirmation in Form X-17A-5 Part III
- Item 6 of Form 13H
- Forms 3, 4, and 5
- Rule 301 of Regulation S-T
- Administrative Law

The updated Filer Manual and related rule amendments become effective upon publication in the Federal Register.
