The staff at the FERC will host a virtual technical conference to discuss whether the agency should require additional financial assurance mechanisms in the licenses and other authorizations it issues for hydroelectric projects. The objective is to ensure that licensees are able to implement license requirements and maintain their projects in safe condition.
