Version 5.5b of all applications in the GoFiler Suite has been released. This release contains corrections and improvements for the new redlining format for inline XBRL documents and to better validate documents produced by other HTML software. Additionally, a number of improvements have been made to XDX processing for Risk Return documents and to add new tools to adjust the default contexts used to make facts for Level 1 through 3 facts.

GoFiler Complete 5.5b
General EDGAR Updates
– Updated the application to use the new location on the EDGAR System for the fee rate table.
– Added logic to allow redline proof of any -sec-ix-redline and to fully support <R> and </R> style markings in the proof as a method of marking redline proof of text of any -sec-ix-redline style.
– Removed 8 character password validation option since all passwords are now 12 characters and had to have been changed by the end of September 2020.
N-PORT Updates
– Made improvements to the validation of some items in Part B.
Regulation A Updates
– Parts a through c of Item 6 will now always display in the proof even if empty.

– Expanded functionality of iXBRL redlining.
– Made improvements to HTML validation for XHTML testing, CSS testing and best practices.
– Improved the rendering of superscript characters on the first line of a document.
– Corrected a problem with the Fix Quotes function.
– Made improvements to the Control Window, including adding iXBRL fact tagging.
XBRL View
– The XBRL Previewer function has been updated to version 20.3
XDX
– The period of the engram used to create level 1-3 facts can be changed from the default (the period of the report) to any duration using the Change Default Period function in the Tools menu.
– Dimensions can be added to all facts created by the program using the Add Additional Dimensions function in the Tools menu.
– Made improvements to the logic that handles converting textual data from XDX to iXBRL.
– The Prospectus Wizard will now tag the classes in tables as either row or column engrams depending on the table.
– Corrected an issue with ribbon management where the ribbon did not always switch to include all the appropriate tabs, such as XDX or iXBRL.
– Made a number of improvements to the XDX to iXBRL processing.
– Made a number of corrections to the Prospectus Wizard.
– Corrected two items that were falsely being flagged as errors when validating.
iXBRL
– Added basic Inline XBRL items to the Control Window with “click on” options.
– Corrected a problem with the Precision field (decimals in code) where ‘Infinite’ was being treated as default.
