On September 20th, the SEC released EDGAR 21.3, in which a requirement that Form 24F-2 (and its variants, 24F-2NT and 24F-2NT/A) filings be submitted in a structured XML format was adopted. The SEC’s release also launched the pilot phase for filing these forms, allowing filers to submit online versions of Form Types 24F-2NT and 24F-2NT/A as TEST filings. This beta testing environment will be in effect from September 20, 2021 to January 31, 2022.

Beginning February 1, 2022, filers will no longer be able to submit the traditional 24F-2NT and 24F-2NT/A Form Types as EDGARLink Online filer-constructed submissions or by using the EDGARLink Online interface. Instead, only forms that are created in a structured format will be accepted as LIVE and TEST online submissions.
