SEC Publishes 2026 Draft Taxonomies for Review and Comment

On September 12th, the SEC published draft updates to the upcoming 2026 XBRL taxonomies for public comment. The Draft 2026 Release Notes provide more information related to specific changes in the 2026 update for all XBRL taxonomies currently supported by the EDGAR system. Scheduled Maintenance to Occur Saturday, September 20th

Scheduled maintenance is being performed on the server hosting the Novaworks website and e-mail on Saturday, September 20th. The three hour maintenance window is scheduled to begin at 10:00 PM EDT. A brief service interruption may occur during this maintenance window, during which our e-mail and website may be offline. Software updates and installations (which use files hosted on our website) may not function during this period. EDGAR 25.2.2 Released

The SEC has released EDGAR 25.2.2, which incorporates requirements for EDGAR Next, the SEC's security, access, and account management improvements made to the EDGAR system. Enrollment in and compliance with EDGAR Next is now necessary to file on the EDGAR system. To be in compliance, filing entities must be enrolled in EDGAR Next by December 19, 2025, or have had their Form ID application for EDGAR access granted on or after March 24, 2025. GoFiler 6.2a Now Available

Version 6.2a of GoFiler has been released. This release is in anticipation of Monday's EDGAR Next release and will automatically switch over to the EDGAR Next system for submissions on 9/12/2025 at 10:01pm Eastern. Version 6.2a of GoFiler will be released later today to facilitate the transition to EDGAR Next. EDGAR Next Reminders

On September 15, 2025, enrollment in EDGAR Next becomes required in order to continue filing to the EDGAR system. SEC Issues EDGAR 25.2 Release XBRL Taxonomies Update

On June 16th, the EDGAR system was upgraded to Release 25.2, which now supports the 2025 version of the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) taxonomy. The 2025 version of the IFRS taxonomy is the same taxonomy version that the International Accounting Standards Board made available on March 27, 2025. SEC Issues Current Draft for Release 25.2.2 of the EDGAR Filer Manual

The SEC has released its draft of the EDGAR® Filer Manual, Volume II: "EDGAR Filing" (Version 76) to prepare issuers for potential updates to the EDGAR system scheduled to be implemented in EDGAR Release 25.2.2 on September 15, 2025.
